Flight School: Nike Hyperfuse
Just when you thought sneaker brands can’t get any more creative with their sneaker designs, expect the unexpected. You can constantly question yourself wondering, “how much lighter can a sneaker get?” or, “how much more technology can be implemented into a 10 0z. shoe?” But Nike will keep you questioning. Beyond Flywire, Free, Lunarglide and Lunarlite, the Hyperfuse dramatically presented itself as another groundbreaking innovative technology that would provide durability like no other shoe on the racks. Pick up a Nike Hyperfuse and you’ll admire how light it is, how breathable and functional it would be on an athlete’s foot.
Inspired by the rugged street ballers of China, Nike sneaker designer Shane Kohatsu came up with the brilliant idea of combining the most breathable and durable materials to create a strong, yet lightweight silhouette. After several attempts at blending the two, Shane decided to chemically fuse the necessary materials to come up with the perfect composite. Using synthetic material, mesh and TPU film, the Nike Hyperfuse has become one of the staples in the basketball sneaker realm and continues to excite the sneaker community as its implemented in different Nike sneaker models.
