Throwback Thursday: Lions, Tigers, Game 7s, Oh My! The Lakers Get Their Revenge Against the Celtics in 2010
Game 7s don’t happen everyday. And as anyone whose been watching would attest to, the current NBA Finals, pitting the San Antonio Spurs against the Miami Heat, have been quite special. The last time a Finals series reached the pivotal Game 7 was in 2010 when Kobe Bryant led the Los Angeles Lakers past the Boston Celtics 83 to 79. The series clinching win marked the fifth time Kobe captured the elusive O’Brien trophy as well as revenge for the Lakers who lost the previous year to the same core Celtics lineup.
How this series will pan out is anyone’s guess. We’re just excited to watch the two best teams in the world go at it over the highest stakes possible. Are you riding with Ole’ Reliable Timmy D or the best basketball player alive in LeBron James? Let us know what you think and get ready for an epic — and very likely, historical — game.
