Dwyane Wade Visits The Flight Lab

The line outside Footaction’s All-Star Weekend decorated entrance stretched three stores down Friday afternoon.  As fans progressively lined up hoping to get a limited spot inside Footaction to see eight time all star Dwyane Wade hours before his appearance, they were also treated to another all-star surprise. Not only did rapper Jadakiss return to the Star Club stage laced up in the new Air Jordan 2012’s, the one and only DJ Khaled was also in for the Footaction festivities.

Shortly after fans squeezed their way in front of the Air Jordan display, they were warmed up with special giveaways before Jadakiss, DJ Khaled and Dwyane Wade arrived. Selected sneaker heads boasted their best Jordan sneakers they wore to the event in the “who has the best Jordan’s” competition, and another select few were called up to the stage to identify a Jordan sneaker with their eyes closed, only using their sense of touch.

But the highlight of the afternoon was the Q&A session with Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade. Suited up in his Jordan track suit and Air Jordan III “Flips”, Dwyane Wade discussed the details about his new shoe, the Fly Wade 2. In transition from his first sneaker, Wade emphasized the importance of durability and being able to spring into the air using a unique Jordan technology. As the concept behind the Fly Wade’s remain the same, Wade discussed designing his second sneaker with the inspiration of sleek cars like a Ferrari, a personal favorite of his. Available in an array of colors the Fly Wade’s feature a mid high structure, branded by a new Wade logo.
