Flight School: adidas adiZero Rose
Even though Derrick Rose has been absent for nearly a year, his brand and his signature style of play is never forgotten. He’s on pace to make a comeback sometime soon after the All-Star break, a perfect midseason addition for the Bulls to make a legitimate run in the playoffs. But what we’re here for is to get you to know a little something about the shoes that D. Rose gears up in to put up his all-star performances.
It started in 2010, when adidas made the jump to take in the Chicago native as more than just a signed athlete, but a brand himself. That October, adidas released the very first adiZero Rose that received mixed emotions. The heel displayed a signature three-stripe branding, but it was heavily criticized for its weird construction consisting of synthetic leather, monomesh and a PureMotion outsole. Other original models featured a perforated upper and an ankle strap, but the shoe was ultimately made to cater Rose’s nimble movements and fast paced play. Now, the adiZero Rose line has grown to six and the sneaker remains a phenomenal lightweight sneaker that blends maximum performance and style features.
