Flight School: adidas Top Ten
The adidas Top Ten reflects the three stripe brand’s originality, style through sportswear and its phenomenal simplistic style. Originally debuting in 1979, one of the first high top sneakers of its kind was designed by the input of All-Star NBA guard Rick Barry and became one of the more popular game time sneakers in the late 70s and early 80s. It was uniquely designed with an all white leather upper, a white midsole and highlighted by the suede toe cap. More importantly, it was a sneaker that had minimal style with three bold stripes streaking across the shoe contrasting against the white leather, yet, was known as a classy and stylish sneaker to rock. But let’s not forget. The adidas Top Ten has evolved primarily into a basketball sneaker with a more futuristic design. It’s now known as the adidas Top Ten 2000, made popular by a few NBA stars like Iman Shumpert.
