Reebok Kamikaze II Mid “Trail Blazers”
Over the past 365 days, Reebok Classics has dropped a total of 12 Reebok Kamikaze II Mid’s and lucky number 13 is announced to be the “Trail Blazer” edition. The sneaker was popularized by Shawn Kemp, who was garnering global attention in the ’95-’96 season by making the All-Star team in addition to leading the Seattle Supersonics to their first NBA finals. Mind you, this was during his rookie season.
Although it was these early years for Kemp when he got the shine and turned heads for on-court excellence, it was while playing for the Portland Trail Blazers in his later years that allowed fans to pay homage to the memories associated with the Kamikaze Mid II by naming it after him and his team. Kemp’s signature sneakers come in a black, white and red colorway and feature an iconic lightning and zigzag design with an added speckled midsole and ice bottom.
